Ch 93 It's always more fun, where there are guns (;

Personally, I am very happy right now. We are pumping up our zone and we are happy with what we got. I don't really have any concerns. Elder Hough and I are doing self-evaluations and I've been more mindful of my words lately. It's my accomplishment of the week. And we'll do our best to continually improve. CalooCAN is doing great! Yup... We're happy with what we got. Also sorry I didn't email back. I don't have a lot of time to email today. because I need to get laser surgery and besides there's always next week anyway

Fun stuff this week

-My hands and feet are gonna get shot by a laser this week. I was told laser surgery will be significant pain. I am excited. #LearnersMindset

-Our members keep asking us to stop going to dangerous areas but you know what they say it's always more fun where there are guns. Plus they're interesting people to talk to. Besides I'm pretty sure Jesus came down here to help and heal the wicked because he loves everyone. He didn't come down here for the rich and high and mighty. He's here for everyone. Moral of the story, whenever you meet a gangster who's willing to shank you in a dark alley, that's just somebody who needs Jesus a little more (; 

-Elder Hough and I found this weird strategy called a YW bomb. (young woman bomb). it's when we teach an investigator around 12-18 yrs old, and we invite around 25 active young women to show up and fellowship her at her house. It's great! They get super surprised and we make their house the party of the entire neighborhood. 

-We went through 3 feet of floodwater this week and it was really cold. 

-I had a baptism. It was alright, it was just one... but I'll work harder next week though.

-I lifted a truck the other day! a truck got stuck in a pothole during the floods. I looked at my comp and said, "Let's go we should help!" So I lifted and pushed the truck out of the pothole. The weird thing is I thought my companion was helping me lift and push the truck but he was just next to a bakery chillin. It was strange though, I thought someone was there helping me lift the bumper, The spirit maybe? cuz I know I am not strong enough to move that truck. But somehow it moved... MIRACLE! + P90x

Ch 91 Zumba Lords in Acacia

You know when you play a video game. Any video game and you work so hard to get this one upgrade or armor or weapon or spell to make your avatar (Character) like ridiculously OP (overpowered)? 

Whelp that's what I thought was going to happen too. It's a lie. a cruel cruel lie. Lemme just get to the point

I got transferred this week to my 12th? 13th? area... in Acacia ward as a Baby ZL in Caloocan Stake. And it's nothing like I thought. 

I remember when I was so new to the mission and my ZL's seemed like the best and smartest people in the mission. They seemed like titans of faith. Little did I know, they were probably screaming inside like Chuckie was gutting their insides with a dull fork. 

I'm probably being overdramatic. Nope. Actually, I think it's fairly accurate. And to be totally honest it is my biggest stress. I hope and pray that I can be good enough.  I am so happy for the new assignment. I just hope I can reach the goal and expectation Heavenly Father has in mind for me and in Caloocan zone. I am doing my best I am happy that I'm with Elder Hough. He is teaching me a lot. I just hope I can make it. It's a strange feeling. I feel like I'm in training again and I feel like I'm not. It's weird. I'm competent until I realize I am absolutely NOT.

He's a nice companion Elder Hough. He's exactly what I need. He is diligent, soft-spoken, humble and reverent. Perfect for my loud, prideful, fiesta of a personality. 

Quick story though!! I was trying to get him to open up more the other day. 

Now he isn't really the most talkative guy. But if you ask the right question, you can get some cool answers. Like an 8 ball that actually teaches you things. Anyway our first few days together I got him to think/dream about his perfect wife. And he said and I quote

"I like firm butts." -Elder Hough

Now I know it does not seem like a big deal but this is an achievement.  It's okay if you don't understand, it's just one of those things that made my day.

Anyway I digress, Life is so tiring. I've never felt so tired more tired than in my situation but even though life is so tiring Heavenly Father always gives us those small simple miracles every day.

Like yesterday! we saw a concert and fireworks show because it happened right outside our house!! Perfect for my first week in this Zumbatastic adventure, hope we'll continue to have some fun adventures (;

Ch 90 Chill Sick Days

So this past week was really really dope. I had exchanges and we went to one of the sketchiest neighborhoods in the Philippines!! it was so exciting!! Picture down below. The cool thing about this neighborhood is that it's not just 1 level of small tunnels and weird caverns. THERE ARE ALSO STAIRS AND BASEMENTS!!! it keeps going and it makes a really cool and low-key terrifying maze (;

Except it would've been better if I wasn't sick. Halfway through that day, I lost my voice so I chugged 300 ml of Robitussin (by the grace of God I am not dead), and then immediately my voice came back! Perfect for a few more lessons!! We found a lot of new people and life is good. The next day though I passed out and had very colorful dreams. And that's about it. Nothing new sorry!!!
