How does one actually journal?

It's strange to just start a blog. I'm not really sure where to start. In my religion they tell us it's nice to have a journal so you can remember the things you've learned, things you've one, and yada yada yada the whole religious thing for eternal life and family. But as I write this I don't want it to be merely just as an obligation to my church or to my future writing 150 class (which I'm not doing this for by the way), but rather I'm writing for myself. This journal isn't for the judgement of the people around me, my parents, not even my future spouse (if I ever have one). This is for me. For my random thoughts. For my lonely nights. For the memories I want to remember and learn from forever.

(That was a bit dramatic)

As you can probably tell, I'm not the greatest writer of all time. In all honesty my personal beliefs with blogs is to just keep on writing. Because if I stop and reread, I'll probably edit everything and judge my own inner voice, and I hate that (considering that I already argue with myself enough).

Today I rode my bike to work. It was okay. My dad yelled at me to wear a helmet but I kept pedaling anyway and ignored him. It was a long 6 hr shift at L. Brands (Bath & Body Works/Victoria's Secret), but I found some really comfy pajamas. They were nice.
